Resolve "Add initial user auth and content"

[Login] Added login page that will give the user an authentication cookie. This can then be used to check authentication and get the user that is logged in.
Added a display for the logged in user on the navbar.
Added a login model for the login page.
Added authentication checking to the  profile page.

Cleaned up some silly teething issues and added contributing doc
