There should be a page on this trac explaining how to get started developing the site, including things like:

• What special permissions you need, if any, and who to ask for them
• How to get your work environment set up, or how to access a working environment (e.g. beta.sucs.org)
• What you need to know (languages, libraries, style guidelines, aims, objectives, ...) this could be task-orientated (style design/new components/bug fixing)
• What to avoid
• How to get changes into the main site
• Who/what to ask for help/guidance

Think "noob friendly" :)
