Description

Due to rdiff-backup's strange behaviour of writing restore.log files to restore sources, backups cannot be restored from read-only filesystems e.g. CDRs

On second thoughts, the problem may not be due to opening restore.log. It looks more like a chmod problem. I've asked about it on the rdiff-backup list at  http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.comp.sysutils.backup.rdiff-backup.general/3315/focus=3315

My patch for the bug has been incorporated into rdiff-backup. Should be usable in their next release (probably 1.2.0). Closing as fixed.
