hi, it'd be useful if it would be possible to restore only a part of the whole backup set eg. only one file or a one directory. and if we can choose graphicaly which files/dirs have to restore.

Just a thought on how this could be easily (I think). If an extra text field was added to the restore tab and marked as "relative path to file or folder (optional)", the input could be added to the end of the backup destination when rdiff-backup is called to do the actual restore, but not to the list-increments command. If it's left blank, the behavior would stay the same as it is now. Even if it's filled in, it wouldn't affect the checking of the set file or getting the available increments.
